Biosil’s Department of Research & Development is responsible for the development of new products, to introduce design amendments to existing products and product ranges, and to provide technical support to Production.

Comprising of 3 project engineers, a production engineer and a project coordinator, R&D interfaces with collaborating surgeons, customers, senior management, sales & marketing, QA, RA, Microbiology, Validation and Production.

Product development includes initial concept evaluation, researching techniques and solutions, design modeling, prototype manufacture, design verification, design validation and process validation studies. New product design and design amendents are conducted by adhering to strictly controlled design control procedures.
